In those fifty years, we have engaged in a wide range of business endeavors related to translation, from education and the publication of our periodical, The World of Translation, to publishing books in translation, brokering publication rights, and offering translation and interpretation services. For the next fifty years, our 100-year plan is to broaden the meaning of “translation” to offer dynamic linguistic solutions by developing and integrating various technologies. Simultaneous Interpretation—Remote Dispatch OK Simultaneous interpretation is a method of interpretation by which an interpreter translates what the speaker is saying simultaneously as they are speaking. Simultaneous interpretation requires a high level of interpretive ability, experience, and concentration. For this reason, 2-3 interpreters are assigned to one job, interpreting in turns at 15-minute intervals. Normally, for half-day business meetings, seminars, etc., a two-interpreter system is used. For international meetings, lectures, etc. which last for longer periods of time, three or more interpreters are assigned.
